Mars "MF BUTCH" is a Brooklyn-based DJ and performance sound and video artist. Through their work, they re-contextualize and reclaim what it means to be butch for both themselves and their community. MF BUTCH's work combines nostalgia and as a way embody the power, vulnerability, and resistance of living in dissonance, as both seen and unseen. Tracing historical connections through music offers them an opportunity to ground their work in the lineages of those who came before them, while offering an optimistic vision for the future.

They host a monthly radio show Stone Butch Blues on 8 Ball Radio, and have performed at regularly at Mood Ring, Elsewhere, and Jupiter Disco. They also co-founded and co-organize for 'planetqueer', a creative collective that works to break down the accessibility barriers Queer and BIPOC DJ's face in the electronic music community and create an affirming community for all to feel welcome, supported, and platformed.
